On the Z5C, I installed and removed an SD card and soon after reconnecting the usb cable, there I was able to use the sony drive as a mass storage disk. This is using a window pc.

By now we all know and sadly accept that MSC mode does not exist in our current devices. The next question is, will this feature be restored in the future? This function is very useful for connecting our devices to media players and other hardware, and I believe it remiss of Sony to remove a working feature without a valid explanation and without a suitable replacement. Between this, no burst shot, no stamina mode, and no home screen landscape switching, I feel like switching from a Z3c was a downgrade rather than an upgrade.

MSC mode is also important to be able to use the internal SD card as an external device. I need to be able to backup my 128GB SD card to my mac, but if MSC mode doesnt work, the backup program wont recognise it as an external device and therefore will not start the backup. I dont want to keep taking out my SD card and suffer my sim coming out and the phone switching off each time (Xperia Z5 Premium)

This is something I will consider more when buying a future phone, I wished my next would also be a Sony, but it doesnt seem to be looking good unless "little" obvious things like this are sorted.

That app won't open on a Z5 with 6.0.1.  It just crashes immediately.
