Sorry to hear that.
I recommend that you first go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Media Storage -> Clear data -> OK and then restart the phone. It will not delete any of your files but it will clear any playlists you have.
If this doesn't help, do you also have any other music players installed?

Did you try clearing data for Media Storage?
I haven't heard of any issues with Google Play Music but i it doesn't help clearing data for Media Storage, could you try to remove Google Play Music and see what happens?
Music info and playlists are stored in the media store in Android (the app called "Media Storage") so they are not stored inside Walkman. If data is lost from the media store it may be another app using it.

Ok, I solved problem.
1. You have to connect phone with PC.
2. Go to phone memory and find folder "Playlists"
3. If you have memory card copy this folder do memory card, if not leave this point.
4. Enter the "Playlists" folder.
5. Open one of a playlists and little window will appear.
6. Drag and drop music on your phone to this little window.
7. Click "OK"
8. DONE

I create a playlist, it works, everything seems fine. Then a few days later I try to use it and Sony has emptied my playlist for no reason. I think this happens after the phone has rebooted.
It's clearly a bug in the app. I'm going to use a different app instead and ditch/disable the unreliable Sony one.
(I don't know what Kresto is taking about but it appears to be a different unrelated issue)
