How can I check the actual version of the firmware of my RX100?

Press the Menu button on the Rear of your camera to access the Menu screen..

Using the turning the control wheel select Set up menu & press the centre button..

Then again using the turning the control wheel select Version..

This should display your RX100 software version..

This implies that Sony will release firmware update(s) for the RX100. Do you know when the first update will be released, which improvements it will implement, etc. ?

There are no infos available regarding FW updates. Remind that RX100 is still brandnew and I do not know of any fw bug or other issues that need to be corrected by anujpdate yet. What kind of improvement would you like to see in an update?

No bugs as such, but the main point that I would like to see addressed is the sensitivity of the front wheel (needs to be turned way to much sometimes...). There are some discussions in other forum (e.g. dpreview) with (very long) wish lists of other users...
