My cyber-shot wont turn on!

I have a cyber shot and its been great. I tried turning it on this morning and it just stays as a black screen! I've charged it for hours and still nothing and when i charge it the orange light comes on but then goes off again! PLlease help- very greatfull

Could you please let me know the exact model number of your camera so I can check to see if there is a 'Factory Reset' procedure that you could try. If this doesn't work, the camera may have developed an internal fault that would require a repair but let's see if a reset works first.

Thanks for the information about your model number. I have taken a look at the reset procedure which is described in detail in the user guide here:

Unfortunately, this is entirely software based which means that if you cannot see the menu (you said that the screen isn't responding) then you will not be able to do this. If taking the battery out of the camera and putting it back in after 20-30 minutes doesn't change anything, this may mean that there is an internal fault within the camera that requires a repair.
