could you explain exactly how you are trying to import pictures on your laptop that you have taken with your Cybershot..:smileyconfused:

My cybershot is DSC-W40 and I have sony memory stick duo - 4 GB. My laptop ( with Vista Home Premium OS) recognizes the camera but when I try to open the folder with the pictures my laptop freezes and stops responding.
