Hi @Huzaifa1, welcome to our community!
Is this something that occurs when you do something specific in the phone, such as opening an application or while raising the volume in your phone when listening to music?
I'd recommend that you start with checking if the System UI application is allowed to draw over other apps in your phone. To do that go to Settings > Apps > cogwheel > Draw over other apps > 3 dots > Show system > System UI. If this is setting is off, enable it and use the phone as normal and see if you are still experiencing this behaviour.
If there is no change and you have already tried the phone in safe mode, I'd recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion
This will delete all data stored on the internal storage of your phone so creating a backup using Xperia Companion before starting with the repair is advised.
Let me know how it went!
@Jonas @Huzaifa1 this is an issue haunting the C5 at every software update, there is one easy way to fix it but it's tedious to accomplish: While the System UI crash trying to go into settings, apps, show system apps, select System UI and reset defaults, clear data and cache, restart your phone and it won't crash anymore.
Hi again!
What @YoGem suggested totally slipped my mind, please try that first in case allowing the application to draw over other application didn't change the behaviour.
I'm very sorry that I forgot to mention that previously.
how to repair my system.ui?? not responding, im worried about my device C5 ultra will be totally black and not workin after.pls help me to resolve it.
Hi @Annjho, welcome to our community!
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing the same behaviour.
Have you tried following the recommendation that @YoGem posted? Go to Settings > Apps > 3 dots > Show system > scroll down and find System UI > Storage > Clear data > OK > Restart your phone.
Edit: I just saw that you wrote Lollipop. In Lollipop go to Settings > Apps > scroll to the right until you get to the menu called "All" > scroll down and find System UI > Clear data > OK > Restart your phone.
Let me know if that helps!

Hi @Artha, sorry to hear about this.
Have you tried the troubleshooting that has been recommended in this thread? If you haven't done that, I would recommend doing so.
Let me know if that helps!
