You do not get tired to support people.
This is a pitty for such good quality televisions to be problematic because of software.
I have also informed about this issue Sony Support in my country and they gave me a Case Number.
As you can understand this is not a real problem for me because I can solve this many ways but this was the only way to force them starting to solve those simple for programmers issues.
This could also be a real scenario for a family that none, even the parents, knows how to adjust a television. They usualy call a technician for even to adjust their channels.
Think of the following scenario:
- Saturday night
- A friendly family with children in my house.
- 22:00 o’ clock in the evening-night but some other countries midnight or 01:00.
- Children watching Kids satellite programs like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and others.
- All porn channels deleted on list. Children browsing channels secure and fearlessly.
- Parents in garden with other parents.
- Deleted satellite channels re-appear automatically and sorted where ever they like.
- Children browsing their channels suddenly fall on these inappropriate channels with naked girls and telephone numbers or complete sex scenes like TELE 5.
- What will happen? What will Sony say? That parents did not lock DELETED channels? This is not a serious reply.
- The logical is to lock(Parental Control) a channel that exists, a channel that adults watch or a Personal Computer Internet Browsing.
- And what about those that have never noticed that this problem exists and that the technician who installed their channels has securely DELETED al these inappropriate channels.
- Who is going to be blamed? The technician?
I know that sometimes I make mistakes on issues that I report but many of them are true and common for many people.
