Hi there,
is there any update on the google assistant working on the af9? This has been down for 4 weeks now. Tried everything and rest the tv. Sony are saying it’s a software issue. I can’t cope without it as it runs the house. Can’t search YouTube the way I want. Now I’m back to the phone. How can a tv I’ve had just over a year old no longer work the way I want. £3400 down the drain as if it goes on any longer I’m going to put a hammer through it!! I’ve reset the tv and now the wife can’t use itv hub as I no longer have a tv aerial and don’t have you view and the cast don’t come up!!! Can some one sort this out. A big company like Sony quick to take your money but don’t want to sort it. Wish I never bought the dam thing.

Have you tried clearing the TV's cached data (Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data)?
If yes, maybe try uninstalling updates for the Google/Assistant apps from the Apps setting menu.
