Bravia xh9005 restarts after long standby
Hi, just bought a bravia 55" xh9005 and it restarts shortly after being switched on first thing on a morning, i presume this is because there has been a long period of standby.
I have spent time looking on this forum and others to find a solution but none of them have worked. I have done the following;
Swiched off bravia sync, sleep timer and samba
Made sure firmware is up to date and auto update is on for tv and apps
I have factory reset the tv
I have changed the socket to which it is plugged in.
This is a consistant issue that happens like clockwork.
Please help!

Hi Talc33,
Can you please try if the following helps?
Please enable IP control in the network settings and disable RS232C control in the advanced input settings.
Cheers
Peter

This does not work, since the new firmware, owners are experiencing random reboots. This has posted on other forums.I am telling people to avoid buying this model until the issues are resolved. Not acceptable, watching your favourite movie or programme or even recording something and then a reboot. Poor from Sony.

Hi
One of the suggested solutions was to try the following steps:
- Press the ‘Home’ button on the remote
- Navigate to ‘Settings’ on top of the page
- Navigate to ‘Network & Internet’
- Navigate to ‘Home network’
- Navigate to ‘IP control’
- Make sure that the 'Simple IP control' setting is set to 'ON'
I hope it helps

Thank you Win_88 - the Simple IP control fix works with KD55-AF8.
This had been driving me mad - thanks for helping me to resolve the issue!
