Android 8.0 Oreo/ 9.0 Pie

Is it OK to expect Android Oreo on 2017 Sony Android TVs?

I really don't understand I'm testing all my 4K demo videos with high bitrate and al movies everything on external hdd (not even usb 3.0 but the older 2.0) and everything is working flawlessly...

I did a factory reset after update...

It is only the stock Video app that is affected in my case.

I did factory reset before and after the update.

I'm here in the UK, and I updated to Oreo this morning...

Now I have no BBC iPlayer... and it doesnt seem to be available in the app store either. Same for the other UK catchup apps.

----- sorry panic over... I'd disabled the sony select stuff on the new oreo home screen ... It's all in in there .

Sorry, I see you are sorted. Have to say Oreo is so much better than Nougat.

Hi @oneillb   I updated just now (UK KD-55XE9305). Apart from the Home screen froze and eventually the TV rebooted itself. I appear to have everything including iPlayer (see image). I would start by rebooting, hold down the remote power button until it says Power off ...

I can confirm your findings. After switching from audio system to TV speakers, all samples play fine again.

Hi all,

Updated this morning! Been great so far, not experiencing any issues and in general it is much smoother after the update!

Though... anyone else bored of searching for Jennifer Lawrence?

Cheers Sony!

In USA after the Oreo update Sony released a second update with many fixes.Do we know if Sony rolls in EU the 1st update or it is a new version with the fixes from the 2nd update?
