Hi, I have the sony A-58 camera and am looking for a zoom lens. I can't afford an expensive one right now but have been told that Minolta and Tamron lenses are compatible with sony. I have found a TOKINA 100-300mm f/5.6-6.7 Minolta AF Mount Camera Lens and was wondering if anyone knew if this will work with my camera? Thanks in advance.

Yes.
However the Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 LD goes for £40-50 on eBay if you can stretch to that.
