Today my A7R3 can't connect to my PC (Windows 10 Pro).
Tried my RX100III, which was OK last night, and it has the same problem.
So far I have restarted the PC and put fresh battery in camera but still get "Check the connected device" a few seconds after "USB Mode connecting to Mass Storage".
Note: I don't actively use Sony Play memories although it is installed (v6.0.00), I merely copy files to a folder for Adobe Lightroom to access.
Update: Borrowed a laptop PC and everything works OK, so it's a problem on my PC, but what?
Only update since last successful connection was to Adobe Acrobat, so I uninstalled that and tried again - to no avail.

The connection was via a USB 3.0 hub and it's plug had come very slightly loose in the PC socket.
All good now.
