Please share or comment if you had the same issues with your Xperia 1iii.
You are getting this message from a user which has chosen Sony Xperia products since 2011.
These are the phones you produced over the years that i have bought for myself and others for their personal use : Xperia Acro-s / S / Play / Z1 / Z2 / Z5P / XZ- Premium / XA Ultra / 1 / 1iii.
Its no suprise to say that i like your products they seem to be good and trustworthy to their description most of the times while i discovered minor drawbacks over the years.
Currently i use the Xperia 1iii as my main phone and i must say its quite a good experience!
But there is 1 major but at the same time minor drawback the Xperia 1 series suffers from. I've had this issue on the original Xperia 1 and the 1iii.
These phones suffer from heating issues when they are being used heavily. I've noticed the higher temperatures of the device occur when using the camera and while playing mobile games. The phone throttles its cpu and because of it the phones slow down so much that the devices no longer respond to input from its users. And sometimes the software starts to stutter heavily during these conditions.
Please mind these issues for your next upcoming devices. The Xperia 1iii is a device that stands out on most departments but it suffers from this one and only true weakness. The snapdragon series always produce much heat please take more precautions into consideration when it comes to the production and distribution of heat. Like with the old SD 810 in the xperia Z5 premium this should not be an issue nowadays. Since its been a real world problem and directly affects its quality a real world solution should be introduced. Let it be you to take on an delete this problem and distribute it just like your camera sensors.
When gaming HS - power control does not help well enough to overcome these problems completely.
This customer will buy the 1 Mark 5 in the future since these minor gripes only affect us during hot summer days and only are occasional issues. Overal the device is superb but as a consumer knowing that these issues are at hand its motivating other consumers and influencers on Youtube and other social media platforms to stay away from Xperia devices. Keep the quality up on all sections of the device or suffer the consequences through sales because of nitpicking users and reviewers which capitalize on it by negatively reporting them without the actual detail about the outcome of those issues. This is being multiplied per review on the web and has a direct negative weight and outcome for your products.
While on the other hand you are the company that quietly ups the standard while the rest follows ip certification and 4k cameras to go in hand with actual 4k screens are nice examples of those....
Sony always stood for quality keep it that way its probably too late to implement any of it in the next 1 mark 5 and 6 but let it be so for the 7. You got it almost 100% right with the 1iii.
