Hi Blooodz and welcome

Unfortunately, it could be many things.

Going into the BIOS will probably only allow you to turn off the error message or lower the value of the fan RPM that triggers the warming. This would allow you to use the Vaio but won’t cure the problem. This is only possible on some Vaios as Sony restrict some BIOS functions.

It seems likely that the cooling fan is not spinning up quickly enough and this needs checking. Often dust will build up and restrict free movement. You could try gently blowing compressed air into the cooling vents but a better solution is to open the case and clean the air vents and fans.

Occasionally, the fan bearings may be worn or the fan failed and this would need to be replaced.

Good Luck!

I have the same problem - but it is clearly connected to the addition of additional memory - add the memory and the fan speed errors appear - remove it and they go away! No bios settings to change. Help? One useful thing - if you hit <F1> befoe shutdown it proceeds to the boot step.
