About a month ago, I ran Vaio care and ever since every time I reboot, there is this IOLO registry defrag thing runs before the windows stuff appears. Something is not right, but I don't know how/where to start looking for the cause. Can anyone give me some guidance, please ?
Also, "System Settings/Device Manager" in VAIO Care shows a yellow triangle, When I click the "fix this issue" button, I get the Device manager page with no indication of any errors. Something is confused, and making me very nervous. My internet access is seems to be affected where pages get "stuck" a lot, but the same pages are ok when I access them on a Vista machine on the same network.
All this coincided with the appearance of "VAIO Care Premium Tools" (iolo !) in the "Performance" menu.
I don't trust this IoLo stuff, and am unlikely to spend 5.95gbp on their performance tools. Are they really related to Sony ?
Any comments ?
