But I have problems about hearing call sound. Call sound looks like robotic sounds and comes really low. Please help me, how can I fix this problem. Is this problem belongs software or hardware. What can i about this annoying matter?

I am facing the same problem with SONY Xperia Z.. I only bought this phone last friday and the earpiece volume is extremely low. I have never wet the phone or anything just to be clear its been like this since day 1 it is absolutely frustrating during calls. Please I am requesting SONY to come up with a solution soon before we loose faith in the brand. I had an option to go for Samsung S3 now I think I wish I had done. Even the phone heats up really easily when doing normal browsing & playing some games.
The phone isnt getting overheated if it will overheat it will shut down on its own its a quad core it will generate heat even the nexus 4 and s3 get hot i have used both. Seriously phone getting warm is not an issue . Its a reality we all have with quad core phones
And i dont have any problems with my earpiece. Have you tried repairing the software
And sony support please delete the messages of people saying phone getting warm as it is not an issue
Hey Guys,
Yepp, same problem here / dito: Just bought a brand new SONY Xperia Z a few days ago and the calling volume (internal speaker / where ya put ur ear on) is just terrible low - at the first moment when i was making my first call with this device, I thought it must be damaged or broken :smileysad:!
Even in a low noised surrounding I can barely hear anything (and No!, I am not deaf, quite the contrary I used to be the guy on parties who kept saying "Please turn that music down, it's too loud" but this smartphone is just really way tooooooo quiet!).
Even an ant couldn't listen to a caller.
After a while of searching and googling the web, I found out that (luckily) I am not the only person who's having problems with the calling volume.
Well then: Does anybody got an idea how to fix that? Anyone? SONY? Support Team? - HELP, please!
Kind regards,
Kevin
PS: No water or dust or anything else got in touch with my smartphone, so please no comments like "Did u drop ur phone into water/sand" or sumthin' like that ;P.
I found out this trick enhance overall the earpiece quality. Go to setting/call setting: untick Microphone noise Suppressions, Speaker voice enhancement and set Equalizer to normal. And because we are coming from differnt phone manufacturing we might found the Sony is little bit lower but you will use to it. I can say now after these setting I have done: the sound quality is 8/10, comparing to Galaxy note 2.
And I think the main reason is from the Equalizer! try to put in in Bright or normal and see how its work first.
Please try these setting and let me know.
Best regards
Haloo SONY,,, Xperia Z has a problem of volume which spontaneously reduced and then also maxed very weak and is not already amplified, please correct this problem, the phone was not in the water, the problem is immediately after the purchase of the Xperia out of the box . TRY settings for everything from nick-sadablool.Resolution which currently operates is turned off and on Xperia Z, the volume is to provide super high, the problem of the time the volume is again weak. weak it's paid for, but at least something that will not cost you equipment alternatives and options on and off your Xperia Z.
Solution of which works for me: running to the store google play, download applications and Volume Booster PRO, Never run, but the application after download off of a xperia, xperia on again from the start applications and Volume Booster PRO app will write the vertical volume by 58% to I but I did not realize it for four days and the phone is pressed and the volume is sufficient so while it works ...
I bought the phone 2 weeks ago and I have the same problems and the phone did not come in contact with water what so ever, in addition when I connect the original supplied hands free that came with the phone and make a call, the other party does not hear me at all though when I connect the same hands free to another device it operates perfectly, also other hands free sets are working fine with the Xperia Z, the problem is when I connect the supplied set with the phone
not the ideal solution but I think you know what to do
The first thing I dumped was the supplied headset, in fact I was quite disapointed that Sony choose to supply a 10$ headset with a flagship phone - and not the first time I've mentioned it here
you guys wont believe what i am about to say.
I bought my ZL just one week ago,(though i have a Neo V) . I was really sad about this whole "low call volume" thing.
then i saw the latest firmware update (am in India) today and updated few hours ago to 10.3.1.A.2.67, with the hope of having this call volume bug corrected.
i was not interested in the fancy lock-screen widget, transparent notification bar bla bla bla as i was happy with 4.1 JB. But i updated it only for the sake of fixing the call volume bug.
BUT to my disappointment i found the phone working fine just as promised...but call volume is still low!!!!!! even after a restart!!
frustrated i did something i read somewhere but cannot recall - i used a clean dry toothbrush and brushed the earphone grill!! yes you read it right...and guess what?? IT WORKED!! the volume is way higher than before ..though i request Sony to bring a update to fix this volume bug..but for time being it works for me....
PS - keep all those enhancement settings bla bla UNTICKED as said before.
and keep the earphone grill JUST below your ear-hole.
