Xz1 compact fingerprint

My Xperia xz1 compact doesn't recognize fingerprint after submerging it under water in a poll for 5 minutes. I have made a factory reset, but it still doesn't work.

I believe it could be water damaged, did you try to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion?

I don't have xperia cimpqnionapp and I didn't find it on play store. All I have is a support app and I've tried troubleshooting the fingerprint function but it doesn't work. Maybe it got damaged while under water like you said.😔

it may help you in resolving this issue, but if it didn't, then I believe the best option is to contact Sony support to check your repair options.
