Disable the charging light

I use my phone as my alarm clock. I have it on a stand by my bed overnight, however, my latest upgrade to an Xperia XZ has resulted in a phone with a status\charging light so bright that it lights up my bedroom such that it's disturbing my sleep. Is there a way to turn it off until my alarm goes off?

Welcome to the community.

I am afraid there is no way to turn disable the charging light in the default system. There may be third party apps that can do this for you, but I am not sure. You can check on places such as the Google Play Store.

Alternatively you could do what I do, and just place the phone face down as I charge it.
