XA Ultra home key

Hi everyone! First time Sony user here and I'm still getting a grasp on my phone. Does the XA Ultra home key work when the screen is off, and if so, how do you activate it?

Further to this, is there any way to turn the screen on and off without relying on the power button?

Hi @morrissye, welcome to the community.

If the screen is locked then you cannot press any of the touch screen buttons, including the home button. There is no way to activate this in the default system.

There is no wake up function, such as double-tap to wake, but there is a way to make the phone sleep with a double-tap. From your home screen, tap and hold anywhere there is no icon, and choose settings. Enable the option "Double-tap to sleep". You can then double-tap your screen to turn it off. Please be aware that his function will only work from the home screen.
