I have been given an identical Xperia XA handset after my last one was damaged (cracked screen, but still worked perfectly well). Before handing back the device, I backed up data onto SD card.
However, when I go into settings and try to restore data, I am being asked to enter a password - I'm not aware of ever setting one - and nothing I try gets me in to restore data. There also appears to be no option for a password reset or reminder.
I have the Xperia Transfer app, but that doesn't appear to retrieve the data either.
Suggestions?
