Photos not displaying all of a sudden

I don't know if I've accidentally changed settings, but something has suddenly changed with my camera/photos.

When I transfer them to my PC now, they can't be displayed either. Also, when I tried to upload them straight to Facebook, nothing was happening.

@Polly13

were the photos on an SD card? perhaps they are corrupted.

Yes, but there are other files on the card (music ones) which are still OK.

I get this in Windows Photo Viewer:

And this in Microsoft Office Picture Manager:

Hi @Polly13,

I'm sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

As @nolramlb asked, can you still view the photos in your phone?

Have you tried saving a couple of photos to the internal storage of your phone and see if you can view them, upload them to Facebook, or view them in your computer? Just to make sure that this isn't caused by a corrupt SD card or that the other photos are corrupted or damaged in any way.

If the setting in the Camera application is set to store photos and videos directly on your SD card you will have to change this to internal storage.

Open up the Camera application > gear (settings) icon in the bottom left corner > More > Data storage > Internal storage. Take a few photos and see if you experience the same behaviour.

Let us know how it goes!

I've changed nothing but the problem seems to have gone today 😕

Hi again!

So now everything is working correctly again? Slightly_smiling_Face

If so, I'm happy to hear that and please keep monitoring if this should happen again and if you were doing something specific in your phone when it happened!

Let me know if there is any update on this or if there is anything else I can assist you with.

I have had the exact same problem after a factory reset and I figured it was just the encryption, anything you can point out that might have resolved your issue?
