WARNING!!   Unless it was inserted improperly, a battery that's bulging means it is preparing to leak or even explode.  I've seen them where I work.   That battery should be placed in a safe container, away from heat sources and away from your phone.  In some countries it is required to treat such a battery as hazardous waste.  Do be careful.
