When I put these headphones in, I’ve no idea what device I’m connected to. The lack of Multipoint is a major omission for such an expensive pair of earphones, but to not (a) announce which device the earphones are connected to, and (b) not automatically connecting to the last device connected to,
leads to some embarrassing situations where my phone plays out loud on its speaker when I’m expecting the sound to come through the MX4s.
Sony make great hardware, but they are atrocious at making the user interaction seamlessly easy.
But as far as I know you can find this information easily via Headphones connect application. It shows which device is connected right now I think.
That’s still several more steps than should be required, and a really really poor suggestion.
The MX4s should just tell me what I’m connected to. I shouldn’t have to do anything to find
out what I’m connected to. My 6+ year old Bose headphones do this, and more.
