sony xm4 mic is not working on Laptop

I bought sony xm4, mic and audio are working fine on phone, however the mic doesn't work in the laptop.  listening to music works fine in the laptop but for audio/video calls only audio works and the mic doesn't work, as soon as i start talking then the call get disconnects. i think the laptop doesn't detect mic for xm4.any suggestions on how to fix the issue

Wired or Wireless?
And, if Wired, your Laptop has te Mic IN with the Headphones Plug?
