is a 5v 1500ma charger ok for a NW A55L walkman

Hi 

Apparently a 5V 1A usb charger is recommended for my NW A55L walkman,but ive found a spare sony usb adaptor lying around which is a 5V 1500ma UCH 20 can this still be used without causing damage.?

Sony does recommend a maximum of 5V 1A. The charger you're referring to is 1.5A, I wouldn't use that personally, but only Sony support reps can confirm whether or not it can cause damage.
