VAIO battery gone for 3 months

I bought a VAIO on 3 of October 2009. Two days ago my battery died. Lead indicator is flashing when the battery is on. Moreover I have charged the battery according to the recommendations. Currently the laptop can not work with the baterry at all. Do you have similar issues? It took me about hour to register the product, to enter the SN several times and to become a VAIO club member (whichi is not my wish)I hope finally to find where is the nearest SONY service centre to consult what is the issue?

A simple way to check if this is a battery or possible hardware problem is to take your Vaio to a local stockist and ask if you can try another battery in your Vaio..
