I have Sony Vaio VGN-FE31H with 1GB RAM (512+512)
,chipset is 945PM.
I want to upgrade its RAM to 4G but when I saw the specs of my laptop online it says maximum 2G RAM is supported, which was a bit of surprise for me because I checked the specs of Intel 945PM on intel website and it clearly supports 4G RAM here is link

I also planned to upgrade to windows 7 64bit so that it can address memory above 3GB.
But I am not sure if 4GB will work or not, please advise me on this. I want to keep this laptop for some time and prefer to upgrade.
