SRSX99 used with Bravia KDL-42W654A
Hi All,
I have the tv listed in the topic.
Today I purchased the audio unit SRSX99. The main reason I purchased it is to use it instead of a sound bar for the tv.
Im just wondering what’s the best way to connect it to the tv? Is optical cable or standard audio cable ok. I read online you can pick up a Bluetooth transmitter for the tv.
The other question is if I purchase additional speakers, will they link via WiFi to the main speaker and play audio from the tv.
Id be very grateful for any help given.

Thank you for the reply.
I have realised there there is no optical input on the sound bar.
I have tested with with an audio in cable (headphone jack) which works but the sound has way too much buzz.
Thanks
Dermot

Hi again Dermot,
We've just heard back from our Support team. They've suggested that the best option here would be the Bluetooth transmitter. They've also advised that it should be possible to add additional speakers via the Music Center App.
Hope this helps,
Owen

Thank you for the update.
I have tried a better headphone audio cable that is working very well.
Is there a Bluetooth transmitter that Sony would recommend?

Hi Dermot,
In principle any Bluetooth transmitter that supports A2DP should work well.
Hope this helps,
Owen

I’ll check out the transmitter when I can.
It will be a while before I add another speaker so only time will tell on that one.
Thanks again.
Regards
Dermot
