Parental Controls and Restricted Content
I am trying to restrict access to a number of video files using parental controls. The video files have meta tags which I have set to restrict their age groups, which work fine on other players such as ipad.
Sony does't recognise the parental control field. I have used metax to set the full meta data on files for testing but Sony Bravia simply plays the content from usb drive.
Isn't there any way I can restrict files on usb drive or stick from access, with parental controls? This TV is hard work I dont think ill get another Sony TV too much doesn't work.

Hi there
Im not aware that you can restrict certain files on a USB drive whilst having others enabled.
A couple of suggestions:
- Separate the files on the USB drive and have two drives. Only plug in the restricted one when you need it.
- Enable restricted profile and deny access to the media playback apps: http://sony-eur-eu-en-web--eur.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/99512/kw/Restricted
Cheers
