I know nothing about HD and am struggling to find out about it. Is my Sony Bravia TV model KDL-32P3020 HD ready? The manual says it has HDMI control function, is that a clue? Please help an ignorant techno phobe. Many thanks to anyone who takes pity on me and helps me.

Your TV is what they call HD Ready. This means that it is capable of displaying high definition but you need to add another device to do so. As it is, you cannot pick up freeviewHD without a FreeviewHD digital box.

First page of a google search of your model number by the way.
Hope that helps you

HD ready also means it displays at up to 1080i whereas Full HD displays at full 1080p. without getting too technical about it if you want to know the difference just google it as its easier than trying to explain it.
