Can someone please tell me how to save a photo from my text message to my pictures please?

hi! i recently installed handcent sms. wen i receive a msg, it comes up in d regular sms messenger an also in handcent messenger. so i hav 2 open d msg twice. is dere ne way i can get rid of d old messenger an only run handcent?

open your messaging app -> press MENU -> settings -> uncheck notifications
