ppi density inquiry does it matter?..... xperia versus other phones (i got xperia Neo)

i just noticed that xperia ray has the highest density so far 295 ppi (within xperia phones only) while xperia neo is 265 ppi and the xperia Arc is 233 ppi if you compare to Glaxy S2 has 217 ppi, Apple has 330 ppi, Glaxys2 HD 317 ppi.... my question is does it matter? 265 ppi in NEo is awesome already...

if you keep your phone quite close to your eyes/face it does matter, after 8-10inches away from you, you can't really tell the difference

Up to a certain level, ie around 300 ppi and above, the human eye cannot distinguish the difference anymore.

This level is called retinal display resolution by some.

So having the ppi at or above 300ppi will result in the image looking much more crisp and smoother than those displays below 300ppi

True. Although if the ppi value is very low, eg like below 50ppi, even at 10 inches, you may still see the difference.

Need to also take into account the actual image too.

Good to see you are able to log in now Slightly_smiling_Face

it was a pain ... but anyway, I don't like the forum now, they should've left the first few post on the top of the page, but oh well, and I still can't log in to my first account

I contacted customer service and they said that they have nothing to do with this forum, that I need to contact the forum administrator but they don't know how, and that my best bet was to ask on SE twitter account, can you believe that? hahaha, ugh, I saved the conversation, it's amusing
