Hi can any one tell me if they have the same problem as myself when using the video camera recording !! as mine after approx 5 mins seems to freeze the picture for a second then on play back all of the sound sync is out(this is fine untill 4 mins then it all goes pear shaped).....ive changed the memory card, reset the phone etc etc with no solution solved, the phone is only a day old and i really dont want to send it back, but its driving me mad as ive lost so many memorable video captures.....i was hoping se was back on top with this new phone as with every se phone that ive bought (x10, x10 mini, x10 mini pro, x8, vivaz along with many more ) there is always something thats not right ???? im at my tether with sony ericsson now and really am thinking of never buying anything with sony ericsson on again !!

Hi
I will keep everyone informed regarding the update to resolve this issue that the Xperia Arc is having, as for my replacement phone..... well im still waiting for it to be delivered from Dialaphone !!!, it was meant to be delivered on saturday ( 16th April) via recorded delivery, but now ive been told it'll come tomorrow,. so i will update everyone in a few days.
Hi everyone,
Hopefully this will get sorted as this was the main reason I bought the phone also. Everytime I record video on my phone the camera freezes about 2-3 seconds in and then all the audio after that goes out of sync! Pleaaaaaaaaseee fix soooon Sony Ericsson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friend who bought the phone the same time as me also has the same problem too!!!!

Hmmm...can wait for that...Lol...but i hope it just software problem...coz i'm too lazy to return the phone...i already love this one...hehe...
Hi guys I bought two of these phones from Dubai Duty free and have discovered the same syncing problem. I hope Sony salvages its reputation and resolves the problem via update. though i find it very difficult to believe that a syncing issue can be resolved via update. any news from sony and how they plan to resolve the issue.
I'd like to post my request to the increasing chorus of people wanting this problem resolved.
As is often the case, this issue is slowly starting to find some traction on blogs and forums, so I would say it would be in SE's interest to resolve this quickly, rather than hoping they can "get away with it".
Just so that you know, I have been looking long and hard for a "camera phone". My priority, funnily, is a good camera that also happens to be a phone, since I use my phone only rarely, but I DO want to be able to take better quality photos and video than the "average" mobile phone is able to.
FORTUNATELY I have been postponing my decision to buy a phone. I was one the VERGE of getting the SE Xperia Arc but just before I did I spotted a blog post, which eventually led me here.
So now, I am not putting my money towards a "faulty" phone, but am waiting until I hear that the problem has been resolved. Perhaps in the meantime the Samsung Galaxy S2 will become available. The S1 already has a fairly solid reputation so that could be an option. Apparently 1080 recording and dual LED flash? *sigh* decisions, decisions.
Okay,Im also having this problem,i record a hd video which is suppose to be my project work..and first few minutes in the video, everything is perfect..a few minutes later, the sound is totally out of sync..and i dont know how to fix it..so my 30min precious video which i couldn't possibly redo is useless now..
And iM also facing reboot problem..it didnt happen when i was using the phone..usually i notice the reboot is when i take my phone out of my pocket,it requires me to put in my pin code, which explains that it has rebooted..starting to lose my patience with it as there is the apps arrangement problem also..
Hi
My new Arc is even worse that the first one i had !!!!!!! within 3 seconds of recording in HD, it goes out of sync with the sound, totally unbelievable, this is my second se arc, and also that 5 of my work staff have all had the same problems and more, ive also noticed that there is no improvement in the battery life (apart from an extra hr, if i leave it alone )...... but most of all that has really annoyed me is that this one has a mind of its own, press the camera key and it goes to something else, hit the home key and it goes to the internet, etc........i think that when i sent my first Arc back the ppl that replaced it must have looked high and low for an Arc that had lots of faults !!!!!, sorry to say this SE but your mobile phones really do suck ??
Ive decided to send this one back as well, once we get the bank holiday out of the way, and go with a make that puts its customers first (unlike SE has ), as the more i look, the more i see ppl having other problems (incl this one) with the arc ....i think this phone was made when the real Ark was built, in 5766BC, as so far ive seen less faults in a chocolate tea pot than this phone........and talk about a wolf in sheeps clothing, as nice looking as the Arc might be, its no good if it doesnt work is it.....ill be glad to get shot of SE rubbish and get something that i can enjoy, and i strongly advise that anyone with this phone should take it back to where it was bought from, as i understand, it simply cant be possibly be a software problem but more likely be a hardware problem/fault, as no other mobile phone companies have had this problem with any of there models so its very unlikely to be a software issue.
Hi
Good news the Samsung galaxy ii, is available now in shops and online, and so is LG's 3D optimus........ as you have prob already read, ive had 2 SE Xperia Arcs (also 8 of my work staff ) and all with the same faults.....this phone is completely rubbish, there is no other nice word for it !..... im also going to go for the samsung galaxy ii, as ive had the samsung galaxy s and my wife had the samsung Giorgio Armani Galaxy s 9010i and both phones was almost faultless, they did have a few minor bugs, but nothing that really effected it in a way that really could bug anyone (unlike the arc does), ive also been lucky enough to of have a few days test with the samsung galaxy ii (thanks to my daughter :-)...), and boy is this think quick, responsive and flawless in 1080p video recording.....but the best bit is that after recording in HD (1080p) for approx 50 mins there was not a trace of any problems with the sound sync (and i retested it over and over again just to be sure !!) the only down side to the phone is no HDMI on the phone, but who cares once the video is stored on the memory card it can still be played back on a hd tv in all its 1080p glory.... so very good choice
