Sony xperia m5 update could not install

I can download the marshmellow update but when i click on install i get an error it says Could not install the new software version. Try again. I tried couple of times downloading the same update but it still doesn't install.

Xperia Companion is only available on PC or Mac, if you don't have them what can you do? Still wait if it is going to work on OTA? We have an old PC that is no longer working properly

Im khleyo fr PH. 

My hubby bought me an Experia M5. I needed to update the software but everytime I try to install the update it will prompt that the update cannot be installed. Anyone who could help?

Update your device with computer by using Xperia Companion. It cannot be installed by OTA. Read my posts above

Yes, jis is all very fine, but what about users running Linux PC?  Xperia Companion is not a goer.

What on earth is wrong with Sony Mobiles if they can't install their own updates sent to them for updating.

@Khleyo If you have access to a PC I also recommend that you try to update using Xperia Companion.

@Spinner912 I understand that updating using a PC may not be an option for everyone so I have pushed for more information regarding FOTA updates. I'll post here as soon as I know more.
