Can't remember my screen lock PIN

Please i had a screen problem with my device and stop using it for 10 months now, the screen is okay now but i can't remember the pin i used to unlock the device. i have tried doing hard reset since there is no way soft reset can be done on the device but the key combition for the hard reset is not working or either this device model does not support that kind of key combination. please help me out the model is E2306 Xperia M4 aqua. Thank you

Hi @Mycota, welcome to our forum!

There is no recovery mode that you can boot in or reset the device using some key combination, you can however perform a software repair using Xperia Companion to completely wipe the device and in the same process the screen lock will get removed as well.

Thanks for your response but when i connected it to sony companion I was asked to unlock the device before anything can be done with it, so how do i get pass that issue

Just turn the device off and then start with the repair in Xperia Companion and you'll be asked to connect the device to your computer again, but make sure that you do not turn it on.
