I noticed my phone was at 50% battery, I was using it and knew it was a lot less than 50% so I plugged it to charge.
The phone knows the charger was plugged in, but the phone died anyway.
It did charge for a few mins, I turned it back on, and it said battery was at 50%.
But after a couple mins of use died again.
I really need my phone to work right now, Is there a fix for this?

I'm honestly going to throw this phone into the garbage and get something else tomorrow...
This exact thing happened to me. Phone recognised charger was connected but no charge.
Three refused to do anything & passed me to Sony. Returned it to Sony for repair. Today they tell me that it's damaged & not covered by warranty. Quoted me £138 for a new phone or £21 to send back the knackered one.
Phone is only 8 months old. Never dropped, never had any impact damage, never stood on, never got it wet & yet somehow there's internal cracking not covered by warranty.
So now I'm without a phone that simply stopped working after less than a year. I'm not going to lose too much sleep over it anyway. It was a piece of garbage from day one.
The old Samsung S3 I've reverted to is still much better even though it's best part of 5 years old.
That really bad man, this phone is very poorly built....
The battery charged but it keeps jumping from real% to 50%...
I'm not sure why... it jumps from 90%-50% back to 90% a second later.
I don't want to repair and lose all my data at this point..
Is there another fix?
The phone knows when I plug in the charger...
It still doesn't charge in safe mode...
So I factory reset my phone and this message comes up:
"System UIDs Inconsistent UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable" with a button underneath saying "I'm feeling lucky".
Now I fixed this by factory resetting the phone again, and the phone works again ( Still has a Battery not charging issue, I will send the phone in)
I am wondering what System UIDs Inconsistent means and if it has something to do with the battery?
Hi there at my first my Sony was great but after about 8 months it would just not charge....... I tried solving this problem through the Sony site but my region(of course!) was unsupported so in true African fassion i fixed the problem and took the cover off- There was a plastic something loose over the charging port and i popped it back into place and..... like magic it was fixed! if you're out of options and hope use this as a last resort. Thank You
Hey I fixed it. I plugged it in directly in my Laptop, and 15 hours later I had 100% battery.
Sounds strange, imfromzombabwe, my phone is also about 8 months.
My M4 aqua can't detect charging..
I try to charges over 4hours and still no light..
I don't know why..
