I've had a Sony BDV N590 system for about 18 months and generally very pleased with it. However, all of a sudden, and seemingly only when viewing internet content (especially on Amazon) there's a black shadow bar (i.e. not completely solid, but disruptive to whatever I'm viewing) over the top 1/4 or so of the screen. It seems to be a hang-over from Amazon's own menu system, that doesn't disappear when a programme is selected and started.
The only way I've found to get rid of it is to start playing a disc or to switch the power off and restart the whole system (neither of which is particuarly ideal!). I rang Sony, who suggested doing a system reset - the problem is intermittent, and has returned since then. As it's out of warrenty, there's nothing more they say they can do.
Has anyone else come across a similar issue - and more important fixed it!?
