I get this message when I try to start Facebook "Unfortunatelly Facebook has stopped", and no matter what I do it won;t go away : clearing cache, clearing data, force stop, reinstall application, restart phone, and last Factory reset. Nothing helped. Error is still there. I can't use Facebook on your device. After cleaning cache restarting etc it works for short time, and than it just stops again and again. Any help? please!
Thanks
either it's a third party app causing this, maybe a taskiller, antivirus, battery app, cache cleaning app, etc or there's an issue with the facebook app and your phone, if the later, you will have to contact the app developer, facebook, and report this bug, as it's up to them, facebook/app devs, to address this issues.
Hi @Brandoart,
Welcome to the community,
I am sorry to hear about this, it does seem very strange that this continues to happen even after a factory reset, can you confirm if you are performing a restore to the handset before testing the Facebook app?
I'm not sure about a restore to the handset, but I did factory reset with new applications, not to copy preferences from backup or anything. I can do it again and to try with that handset option... Thanks
Maybe its up to Facebook, thanks. I didnt install any new applications after Factory reset, and I also found somewhere that third party app can be problem.. really strange. Thanks for advice
You could try running through a software repair on the device as well, this way you can be sure that the issue stems from the application.
software repair using Xperia Companion
Let me know how you get on.
