PMB 5.6 and AVCHD Progressive 2.0

Does the latest PMB support AVCHD Progressive 2.0? Can I in other words burn a video in PS mode (28 Mbit/s) on to a Blu Ray keeping the progressive mode 1080 50p without downgrading it?

Hi alphakamera, welcome to the Sony Forums.

I don't think this has been implemented yet, no. There have been rumours of AVCHD 2.0 being available to BD players via firmware upgrades but AFAIK the ability to burn directly to BD has yet to be implemented as part of PMB.

I'll check this out and get back to you here, hopefully with something more concrete.

I would be grateful for any information which seems very hard to come by! In time the whole issue with AVCHD Progressive 2.0 will probably be resolved, but so far nobody really seems to know or perhaps I just haven´t asked the right people.
