Hello,
My DSC-W70 has just developed a blank LCD screen. It is totally white and will not take images. However on playback I can see the images I took previously as clearly and as sharply as ever. Any ideas?
Hi, welcome to the Sony Forums
It sounds as if the shutter is permanently open, which is obviously not normal operational behaviour... you could try a reset (following these instructions) failing which the camera may need a professional once-over.
Sony's repair service is one option; you can also ask at a high-street camera store who often have decent repair facilities.
Cheers
Mick
Hi Mick,
Many thanks for the reply.I tried to reset using the initialize setting but it made no difference, I guess I'll just have to go for repair. Do you know if it's worth it or would it be better to go for a new camera?
Regards,
Martin
