Hi All,
I recently bought the above handycam and took it on holiday to south africa. I got loads of footage and despite having tried it all out at home and all was ok, when I went to download all of the footage I got an error message saying "Data Error" and all the footage just disappeared. This has now happened a few times using different SD cards (Both 32GB SDHC Class6). I now can't get any film off the camera in time before it has some sort of error and deletes it from the card. I don't know what to do next?
Could both of the SD cards have been corrupted somehow or is it the camcorder itself? I'm going away in 3 weeks time and want to get this fixed or replaced. Anyone know why this is happening? I am using the camcorder in default settings, high quality etc.
