Xperia c5 ultra frozen before you start

I have a Sony Xperia c5 ultra and many times I get frozen with the blue home screen. I turn on, but the next screen is constantly on does not progress. It stays blue for hours and I am not able to reach the home screen. I have to connect it to the PC program "Xperia Compnion" to repair it and get it working again. Me.occurs every week and I do not know what else to do.

If i understand you right after repair yours smartphone working fine about week? Can you try again repair, but don't install any of 3rd parties apps, use yours smartphone after repair without any changes in it. Try smartphone use without SD Card if you have one. Check about week or more if you can, if problem persist bring your smartphone in authorized service to test it. By the way did you rooted yours smartphone? Coz in authorized service can annul your warranty if you have one and this repair can cost for you Slightly_smiling_Face

It may be a good month. But around doing the month it always freezes once and I have to repair it through the "Sony Companion" program. It has been happening for 1 year ... I do not know what the solution is, thanks for answering.

If say true freezing in mine too sometime, as i understand it can be related with SD card. Try to remove it and then test and check will be any problem or no. When mine SD card was bricked i did not saw big freeze, i did not pay attention in that Slightly_smiling_Face

Hello, I am having the same issue with my Xperia C5 Ultra Dual E5563
Android 6.0,
Security patch level 5 July 2017,
Build number 29.2.B.0.166

When I'm using my phone, it suddenly freezes and nothing responds. I have to hold volume up + power button to restart. But upon restart, the phone is stuck on the first black "Sony Xperia" screen.

Then I have to hold power button + volume up again to restart it again until it restarts correctly.

But most of the times, it stays stuck on the black Sony Xperia screen or the blue-waves screen. The blue screen stays frozen and the waves stop moving.
Therefore I have to insert a pen inside the OFF hole to shutdown the phone and try to boot it again.

Sometimes, after all these tries, it still doesn't work and I have to hold the volume up + power button one more time for a few seconds until I feel it vibrate 3 times. Then the phone turns off and I turn it on again. And finally, it turns on successfully.

It is a time-taking process which occurs lots of time during each day of the week and that's not normal. I did not have any issue when I was on the previous firmware. Can you suggest what can be done and help me please?

Translation via Google Translate:

In my case I tried without the sd card and it still happens the same. It does not start and stays frozen as in the image. And I do not know what else to do.

En mi caso he probado sin la tarjeta sd y me sigue ocurriendo igual. No se inicia y se queda congelado como en la imagen. Y ya no se que mas hacer.
