KD-49X8305C Software update crash 64%

Contacted Sony - all their attempts failed.

I tried installing the latest firmware update V2605 online through TV( I have 150Mb cable), also downloaded the firmware and put onto a USB(tried the two file method also).

Every time, via TV setting software update, the download crashes at 64%(states "An error occurred during the software update, . The update server in temporarily unavailable. Please try again later Error: 2123).

The usb( usb slot 1 and 2 tried) method also crashes out into reboot at about 64% too.

Downloaded the firmware numerous time.

Any ideas ?

This thread was started 9 years ago, why are you tagging onto such an old thread where the last post before yours  was 5 years ago. The problem you have may not have any relevance to such an old post discussing older models of Sony TVs and updates.

I would start a new post and in it include the exact model of Sony TV you have

and which software update you are trying to install.

Also include any steps  you have tried to resolve the situation.

Hi @xave2000   You have replied to a thread that is nearly 9 years old! It would be better if you started your own thread and describe your issue in full. Please remember to include the full model number of your TV. It will start with KD or XR.

Not only that, but you have caused this thread, all 14 pages of it, to rise from the grave and be highlighted in my menu, so I now have to go through all 14 ***** pages, one by one, so they are marked read, and the highlighting stops 😢

Have you actually got a 9 year old KD-49X8305C anyway?

As you have gone to the trouble of having a moan about other people posting on this thread. There is an easy way to stop all notifications. If you look at the Options shown to the right of the title on the right at the top of the thread. Just hit Unsubscribe. I don’t get notifications because I have already unsubscribed so mine shows as Subscribe.
