HDR content on XH900

When I play ultra 4K HDR from Netflix, my Sony adjusts to Dolby Vision automatically.

When I play HDR movie from file through my home network, via the native TV player or any android TV player (e.g. VLC), the TV does not recognize the HDR content and no Dolby Vision kicks in. How I can play HDR content such that the TV will recognize the file as HDR ?

It's the content that tells to the tv if it is hdr , which hdr and which color space to use. You better check the source.
