Hi community,
I recently bought myself a Alpha 6400. I mostly use it for video blogging and skype conferences. So I attached a USB cable for infinite power, attached a HDMI cable, set HDMI clean output and a few other settings. I also set the power off temperature to "high". The goal is that the A6400 does NOT power off automatically.
This works fine as long as the mode switch is set to "M". The camera runs for days. As soon as I set the mode switch to "video" the 6400 powers off after a couple of hours. Video mode would be better because I can see the audio level on the display. Also it seems the HDMI picture is not as noisy as when set to "M".
Any idea how I can tell the 6400 to stay on forever in "Video" mode?
Thanks,
Helmut
Hi, I haven't tried it with Imaging Edge Webcam. However, I already found the solution. It seems that the 6400 battery is not loaded via USB when the camera is in video mode. I'm using a battery dummy now and the camera stays on forever.
Glad to hear it's working for you now!
