STR-DN1040 HDMI ARC to TV drops out

We have STR-DN1040 Amp and KDL46-HX853 TV connected via Sony HDMI cable through ARC. All settings are as per the manual but when playing the TV through the Amp the signal regularly drops out for a second or so and the 'A-P-M' light flashes on the front of the AMP.

Anyone else experienced this problem and have a solution?

We also have the following connected to he AMP with no problems at all:

BDP-S490 Blue Ray (via Optical Cable)

CDP-CX450 Juke Box

RDR-HXD790 DVD Recorder (via HDMI).

Grateful for any advise.

Hi there

Try turning OFF Automatic Phase Matching (A.P.M) in the speaker setup menu and see how that goes. If that fails to solve the problem, replace HDMI cable (in-case its faulty)
