Is it possible to control HT-CT260 with samsung remote

Wondering if it the soundbar can be controlled with the newer Samsung smart remote. The soundbar is a bluetooth connection and it is paired with the TV. If I use the sony soundbar remote I can control the volume. However nothing happens with the Samsung remote. In order to program the remote to the device the samsung menu leads to a universal remote setting. It then allows to choose a home theater device option, yet when it asks for an input there is no selection for bluetooth, only wired connections. At that point Im at a dead end. Is the sony device capable of having its volume controlled by this Samsung remote on a bluetooth connection? Or is this a limitation with Samsung?

As far as I know, It's not completely possible to control Sony devices using different remote controls.
