STR-DN1050 cannot connect to network

HI all,

I have just taken delivery of a STR-DN1050 that I purchased through Sony UK Outlet and I cannot for the life of me get it to connect to either a Wired or Wireless network, I have tried 3 LAN cables (all known to work) I have tired to connect it via LAN direct to the Broadband hub, I have performed a full system reset - nothing. All I get is that it is connecting to a network, please wait and then after about 10 minutes it shuts the amp off.

Any ideas please?

I have also tried leaving it unplugged for 2 hours and that didn't seem to help

When you connect the ethernet cable, do any lights display on your router to indicate that the port is working? Are any lights displayed on the back of the receiver on the port itself.

Hi and thanks for the reply, t has just decided to start working!

Absolutely no idea why but it has now found an IP address and I can view it online and ping the address.

Strange, very strange.............

Will need to keep an eye on it and hope it is not an intermittent fault.
