KDL-42W705B - keeps switching off

Our Sony Bravia TV has suddenly started switching itself off, if we press any button on our TV or sound bar remote it will switch off. However it stays on if we're on the HDMI input which has our Amazon Fire Stick on it will work and we can use that remote.

Everything has been switched on and off as well as being unplugged, we can't check for any updates as once remote buttons are pressed the tv switches off.

Any ideas?

Does the TV also restart when using the buttons on the back of the TV instead of the remote?

Try disconnecting everything from the back of the TV (especially the aerial if you have one) then unplug the TV from the wall, it might be some sort of power/interference issue.
