XE70 refresh rate keeps dropping

I have just bought an 43-inch XE70. The TV seems to have trouble coping when the frame rate of content changes from 24fps to 48fps - it takes around 3-5s to for the refresh rate to correct itself. I have turned off Motionflow and cinema mode but the problem still exists. The firmware is up to date. The poor refresh rate is also apparent when playing games on my Xbox One - here the rate seems to drop when there isn't much motion on screen.

I had no such problems using the same devices on my previous TV (Samsung). Does anybody have any suggestions?

Welcome to the Sony Community.

Have you tried a factory reset of the TV? Sometimes this cures many weird and irregular problems. You can find more details on how to perform this here.
